And here we have a super cheesy picture of Chloe while she's supposed to be eating her snack of cheese sticks and an apple.
This morning we went to Home Depot to get a new shower head and a couple other things. And after that, we went to the grocery store to fill up the fridge and pantry. I must say, doing things by myself is a lot easier this time around. The last time I was alone with the two girls, Leyla was a tiny infant, so I had to carry her around in her car chair, which is bulky and heavy. It made grocery shopping next to impossible. But now I can put both Leyla and Chloe in the front of the shopping cart together. I guess the point is that today's outings gave me more confidence in my ability to keep things running here while Miguel's gone.
However, my confidence was a little dampened when I tried to start the lawn mower today. Last summer, we had a lot of rain, and I think some water got in the fuel tank somehow. Ever since then, I've had to put gas on the air filter to get the freaking thing to start. Well, now it just won't start at all. I was excited because I got the girls down for a nap at the same time, so I knew I had enough time to cut the front lawn. Well, instead I got to haul the mower out of the back of the jeep (our current outdoor storage), and then pull the string over and over and over and drain fuel, etc. And it never even came close to starting. Oh well.
I just remembered I have to make a phone call, so I better go do that.

That Leyla is one determined girl. Besides being a super cutie. What is it with you and Miguel not remembering to put her pants back on? Obviously it is pretty important to her. Thanks for posting that. I've been missing those girls since you left :0(
Sorry about the mower. I HATE trying to start anything with a string starter. If it doesn't start by the second try (third max)I'm done with it. I have every confidence in your ability to cope, whether it be grocery shopping or putting pants on Miss Leyla. You are amazing.
Oops! the previous comment was mine, but I neglected to change the blogger since you left.
My bad.
