= PAINI went to the doctor on Wednesday to get my throat checked out. While I was there, I decided I'd make the most of my co-pay and have her take a look at the sore I had (still have) on my thigh as well. She was a lot more worried about my little infected sore than my throat, which I thought was silly. Well, I don't think it's silly anymore. I started taking antibiotics yesterday for the infection, but it still hurts, A LOT. The red skin surrounding the little scab is 3 inches in diameter. (and my throat is better, and my voice is pretty much all back)
It wouldn't be so bad if I didn't have two little girls constantly climbing all over me and running into it all the time. It's not like I can explain to them why they shouldn't touch my leg and they'll go along with it. Nope, the best I can do is try to shield all incoming blows, but that's pretty difficult with the two of them.
Hopefully the antibiotics will kick in soon and I'll start to see some improvement. I really hope I didn't get a staff infection, however, it's very possible since I spend a lot of time at the gym.
Oh, and the hurricane. It's headed towards Houston. We're supposed to have a really high tide (up to 5 feet higher than normal), but that won't affect me at all. We're not in a flood zone. And I think we're just expecting some rain tomorrow and winds around 35mph. So, that's not anything we can't handle. No need to worry about us. However, if you know anyone in Houston, you probably should worry about them.
I guess I've rambled enough for now. There will be more to come later, I'm sure.

Nice crusty pic of Chloe, well of the bite too for that matter. Hopefully the drugs will kick in and you get some relief soon (antibiotics not narcotics :0) from the bite that is...glad you're out of the danger zone! this time anyway...
Oo I'm glad to hear that you're not right in the middle of Ike's path! I've been thinking about you a lot and checking the Ike forecast all the time. I hope you start feeling better soon! Glad you re-found my blog. :o)

Glad you are not in the path of Ike. I was worried about you so I checked you blog specifically to see if you were going to be okay. Sorry about the pain and hope it gets better soon!
