A "Happy Birthday" is in order

Tomorrow is my wonderful mom's birthday. So I'm going to do something on my blog for her that I've been meaning to do for years. But it won't get done until tomorrow evening due to my test schedule. So just to let you know mom, I have something planned...

In other news, I got new tires today. Buying tires sucks because they're expensive and they're not really enjoyable. I do notice that I have better traction when turning corners, which means I can now drive like a reckless race car driver. But just because I can doesn't mean I should or that I will. And now I won't have to fill up my passenger tires every week. That's a bonus.

And one more random topic for the evening. I wish that everyone would understand that depression isn't just something that you snap out of. True depression is a clinical disease and needs to be treated as such. It's unfortunate that more people don't realize that. And that's all I have to say about that for tonight.

Hey I just wanted to second two of those points. One, Mom is awesome. Two, the depression thing. I think you're referring to Mel's blog...if not it still applies. Telling some one with depression to snap out of it or "grow up" is like telling some one with cancer to just stop being a wussy and don't have cancer any more. It's a little more complicated than that. I was just thinking of that earlier today and I wish more people understood it. p.s. my website should be back up...
