Shoes, shoes, shoes!!!

I am so tired of little toddler shoes scattered all over the house! They're EVERYWHERE. I keep trying to get control of the situation, but before I know it, they're all over the house again. And I can never find a matching pair when I actually need to put them on the girls. Does anyone have a solution for this? Is there some sort of shoe caddy that I could teach my kids to put their shoes into? Or should I just keep the shoes in an area where they can't reach them? I don't know, but it's driving me crazy! Any ideas would be greatly appreciated!

I don't have kids so this will be TOTALLY random.
BUT..... what about hot gluing little squares of velcro loops to the back of each shoe then when you take them off you hook them together with a strip of the hooks velcro. You could hand the pairs up from the strip.
Does that make sense? OK, I KNOw you wouldn't want to do it with really nice shoes.... but come on, how nice are most little kids shoes?

I may just patent this. (:

Tupperware bins with pictures so that they know what goes where, and they are easy to open, put away, and stack.

I think celiac may be on to something. I definitely had problems with the shoes and actually still have problems locating my own most mornings... Good luck with that.

I feel that way about socks and shoes. We have socks all over the house all the time. I even collected them and made my kids pay to get them back and that didn't work. I like celiac's idea. She's brilliant,as always.
