Catching up

What we have here is a load of pictures. It's taken way too long for me to upload them, so I'm not even going to bother trying to match the text with the pics.

Last Thursday, I was finally able to return one of the many favors my friend Katherine has done for me by watching her baby while she accompanied a middle school choir. She brought "Baby Aaron" (as Chloe so affectionately calls him) over to my house since I wasn't working and the girls tried to keep him entertained by piling toys into his lap. And Leyla test drove his car seat and tried on that silly white hat.

Today was a beautiful day, so I decided to brave the possible crowds and head to the beach. It was a little bit colder at the beach than it was at our house. But the girls insisted on getting in the water. All they wanted to do was stand in the water and laugh hysterically when the waves crashed against their little shins. But the water was kind of cold, and with the wind, they just kept shivering. I asked Chloe over and over if she was cold, but she really didn't want to get out of the water. Eventually I had to drag them out and warm them up because I was worried about hypothermia. OK, I'm sure it wasn't that cold, but they were shivering.

And that's all I have to say about that. Enjoy the pictures.

Grumpy pants

Oh, I almost forgot the side pony tail. Chloe's hair was down, but she gathered it up all over to the side and wanted me to put an elastic in it. So I went with it and gave her the requested side ponytail.

I can't imagine the girls getting hypothermia at a beach in TX. Now if it was the beach in WA then you could talk hypothermia. I guess it's all what you are used to. How fun to go to the beach at this time of year though! I'm sure that's part of why you love living there so much. I guess the beach isn't that far from our house, but it's not as nice as the one in your picture and definitely going in this time of year--especially this year--would cause hypothermia. Always fun to see what you and the girls are up to. Cute as ever!

They are getting so big. It looks like they had a lot of fun on the beach. Wish we were there!

So jealous of you being able to go to the beach... We are going to Phoenix next week though! I'm pretty excited about it. By the way, since you live in Blue Bell ice cream territory... have you ever had it?? If not, you should. It is the most amazing ice cream to have ever touched my lips! :) Seriously. It is only available in select southern region states. I had it for the first and only time in North Carolina... and they have it in Phoenix!!! Woo hoo!! Also, I am very glad that you enjoy my writing. It makes me feel not so dumb knowing that. And since I have already written a book of a comment, I will just keep going. I keep meaning to leave comments about all these things but then I just don't so now you are getting all of them at once. You asked forever ago where my wedding/reception was. The wedding was in St. George, UT and the reception was at this new reception place they have here in Poky. It had just barely opened when I had my reception. I think I was like the first or second reception there. The inside of the building was not even done. Wow. This is a really long comment. I'll shut up now.

Thanks for the pics! So is it because Leyla is farther back in the photo or is "baby Aaron" as big or bigger than Leyla? Looks like they had a fun time with him there.
Love the image of Chloe working on her people picture :0)
And the beach shots are classic. Not prehaps as classic as the side pony tail, but all in all well worth the long download wait.
Thanks!

No, it's not the picture, Aaron is definitely bigger than Leyla. He's a big boy and Leyla's a tiny little girl. I actually think Aaron weighs about the same as Chloe.
