My friend from work has been telling us all about her snake who laid eggs and the eggs recently hatched. So, she has a bunch of baby snakes who need homes. She started telling me about them, and they sounded really pretty. I knew that I wouldn't be working on the house on Thursday (I've been going over to the house every day this week to finish the flooring and get it ready to sell), so I asked if I could bring the girls over to see the snakes. Anna didn't have any plans, so we headed over after work. Chloe was so excited. On Thursday morning, she was lying in the floor whining about how she didn't want to go to school. I asked her if she wanted to see baby snakes. Her eyes lit right up, she got off the floor, and said "baby snakes??" I told her that she could see baby snakes after school if she put her shoes on. She didn't waste a minute and put her shoes on.
There was a little bit of miscommunication, and Anna wasn't there when we got to her apartment. But Lucy was there. We went ahead and took out a little pink baby snake. As you can see, Chloe was overjoyed and enthralled.
We put the baby snake away and got out the daddy snake. He sure was pretty and very friendly. I liked him a lot. So did Chloe. Again, Leyla wasn't too interested.

And Chloe made a new best friend. That's my little future biologist. She made her mom proud yesterday.

Just overheard, "I wanna go in the chicken box." -Chloe

Zoicks!!! A pink snake. I'm glad Chloe was thrilled. I think I'm in Leyla's camp about how thrilling they are. They're pretty, though I prefer them at a distance. Sounds like you had good visit.
I'm 'guessing' there will be a pet snake in "someone's future"?!?
Hahaha! Chloe is going to be just like her mama! I am a little grossed out at the thought of a pet snake at the moment. Remember Norma the snake? I can't remember if it was mine or Moldy's. I think it was Moldy's.
