Now for something completely different. When we moved into our house, our street was very quiet and pleasant. Sure, someone on our street is a drug dealer, but that's not a problem. The only problem when we moved in was the unsightly recently abandoned house next door. But then someone bought it and fixed it up. They are the infamous "neighbors" whom I speak of frequently. They're annoying as hell with their music and loud voices, but they're also very useful because they own a remodeling business and can help me when I need it. But they're ghetto. We didn't move into the ghetto, they brought the ghetto to us. Things that have happened since they moved in: an angry ex-girlfriend released a huge snake into their yard, an angry ex-boyfriend broke into their house, someone shot out their son's car windows, someone broke into that same car and stole his stereo system (now if only they'd steal the dad's stupid loud system). Keep in mind, our homes are about 2 yards away from eachother. I just learned about the drive-by car shooting today. Apparently it happened 2 weeks ago. I can handle the fact that their house gets broken into by angry ex's, but as soon as a gun is involved, that's when I have a problem. Bullets can penetrate walls and Chloe's room is on the side of the house that's right next to their house. I know the odds of her getting shot through a wall are low, but it can happen. I really don't like that that kind of shit is going on right next door. But what can I do? I guess I can just finish school as soon as possible so I can start looking for a job closer to home. One thing's for sure, we'll have to build a 6 foot privacy fence between our houses before we even think about selling our house. Really, the sooner the better.

Sounds scary. And I thought our junk collecting neighbor was bad! Nobody shoots at his house though. I can't blame you for wanting to get out of there! Hang in there.
Well, Miss Chloe looks quite the grown up in her new cords. I am sending some pants she'll like with flowers in cirles on em:0)
The news on the neighbors just keeps getting better eh? Sounds like a bad plot for a soap. The sooner you are able to move on the better. With the possible earlier grad date you are checing out it could be sooner!
Hey, looks like she's got some new shoes too! Very stylish:0)
Oh man! Drive by shooting...that is ridiculous. But what do you do--buy a new house? Spend a bunch of money on a big fence? I don't think either are going to be cheap options at this point. Your mom is right- it sounds like a bad soap. How frustrating!! I am really sorry. What's worse is there isn't too much you can do about it right now. The good news is Chloe looks adorable in her new threads. She is growing up so fast! Keep going to school and get out of there as soon as you can.
