In other school news, I was able to participate in two of my Fisheries Biology field trips in the past two weeks. The first one was an overnighter to an island out on the bay. I didn't think I'd be able to attend it because I'm still nursing. But my mother was here visiting, so she watched the kiddos and I took my battery operated pump, and it worked out great. My favorite part of that field trip was tagging shrimp. And yesterday we did a pond management field trip. My favorite part of that lab was rowing around the pond in a kayak. I had never been in a kayak before, and it was a lot of fun.Things are starting to get hectic though. I have a whole bunch of presentations and papers and tests coming up within the next 3 weeks, and I'm just not ready for them. The good news is that everything seems to be pretty well spaced out instead of all that stuff occurring during one week.
But here's a dilemma I have. There's a field and sampling techniques class that's offered during summer session one, which is five weeks long starting June 2nd. I really would like to take it since it will be teaching practical techniques that I'll more than likely be using once I get a job. The problem is that it's only offered during the summer, and I can't afford daycare during summer months. I can get enough student loans to cover tuition, but that's it. Anyone have any ideas? I really want to take the course and I truly feel it will help me when I'm applying for jobs, but I just don't know what to do with my kiddos. Any ideas????

Sounds like things are going fast and furious for you. At least you had something for your presentation. It could have been much worse.
the summer class sounds like something that would be very beneficial. Maybe you can find a teen out for the summer who could do it?
